About Capybas

Capybas challenges you to locate hidden capybaras through color regions, row and column clues and clever no-touching rules.

Capybas turns hidden capybaras into a logic challenge built around several connected clues. The board never answers directly, but color regions, rows, columns, and nearby squares gradually narrow down the possibilities.

GAME OVERVIEW

Color regions provide one of the most useful clues in Capybas. Each colored area contains exactly one hidden capybara, so you can often eliminate several possible squares by checking the rest of the board. Four rules control the placement:

  • One per region: Every color region contains exactly one capybara.
  • One per row: No row can contain more than one capybara.
  • One per column: No column can contain more than one capybara.
  • No touching: Neighboring capybaras cannot sit beside each other, including diagonal neighbors.

X Marks Become Useful Clues

X marks help remove impossible choices from the board. Empty possibilities become easier to compare once incorrect locations are clearly marked. The no-touching rule gives those marks even more value. One confirmed capybara can immediately eliminate nearby squares, including positions that only touch it at the corner.

Harder Boards Create Longer Chains

Easy mode focuses on the basic placement rules, while Medium introduces more situations where several clues must be combined. Hard mode pushes that idea further, with fewer immediately obvious positions and more connections between different parts of the grid.

Difficulty in Capybas comes from the relationship between clues rather than simple speed. One decision can affect several regions at once, making the board gradually open up as the correct placements become clearer.

Cozy Presentation With Something to Unlock

Capybara characters and themed rewards give the logic-focused gameplay a relaxed personality. Coins provide another reason to keep solving puzzles after the main objective is complete. The visual style stays light while the grid demands careful attention. No fast reactions are required, so the main challenge comes from reading the clues and avoiding unnecessary mistakes.

Simple Control

  • Single tap: Marks a square with an X when no capybara should be there.
  • Double tap: Marks the selected square as a suspected capybara location.
