About Suspects

Suspects is a daily deduction puzzle where every person holds a clue. Study the grid, identify criminals and crack each case through pure logic.

GAME INTRODUCTION

Suspects is a logic puzzle that challenges players to identify criminals hidden among twenty people arranged in four columns and five rows. One face-up card provides the starting clue, and every person you correctly identify reveals another piece of evidence.

The twist is that nobody lies. Criminals tell the truth just like innocent people, so there is no need to guess who sounds suspicious. The solution depends entirely on what the clues prove. Every confirmed identity helps narrow down the remaining possibilities until the whole case is solved.

How the Mystery Unfolds

Suspects turns the grid into a network of connected facts. Some clues refer to people directly beside someone, including diagonal neighbours. Others describe an entire row or column, or count how many criminals belong to a particular group.

The real challenge comes when separate clues begin to support the same conclusion. One clue might leave two people uncertain, while another limits the possibilities enough to identify one of them. Every confirmed answer opens a new clue, giving the investigation a natural chain of discoveries.

Make Your Deductions

  • Select a person: Tap a card and choose Innocent or Criminal.
  • Check the evidence: Mark someone only when the available clues prove their identity. Uncertain choices are rejected without penalty, but a mark that contradicts the evidence counts as a mistake.
  • Read neighbour clues carefully: Neighbours include diagonal positions, so a person can have up to eight neighbours.
  • Follow rows and columns: “Above,” “below,” “left,” and “right” can refer to anyone in the specified direction within the same column or row.
  • Track connected groups: Connected people form an unbroken path horizontally or vertically. Diagonal contact does not count toward this type of connection.

Choose Your Investigation Style

Suspects offers three ways to work through its cases, whether you prefer a daily brain teaser or a longer puzzle session.

Daily

One new case arrives each day, and every player gets the same puzzle for that date. Difficulty increases through the week, with the toughest cases saved for the weekend. Solving the daily case keeps your streak going, and the puzzle changes at midnight in your local time zone.

Archive

The calendar archive lets you revisit daily cases dating back to January 1, 2026. Missed a puzzle or want to revisit a tricky one? The archive gives you a way to work through earlier investigations.

Unlimited

Fresh cases are available whenever you want another challenge. Three difficulty levels let you choose the amount of deduction you are ready to tackle. Shared case links also let friends open the exact same puzzle and compare their solutions.
