WORD BUILDING AND SCORING

Every letter has a point value based on how commonly it appears. Common letters such as O, E, T, and A are worth 1 point, while medium-difficulty letters such as V, M, B, and C are worth 2 points. Z and X offer 3 points, making them valuable additions when they fit naturally into a word.

Word length also affects the score. Longer combinations generally provide better rewards and can create useful bonus opportunities. Common endings such as -ing and -tion can help extend shorter words when the available letters allow them.

How to Play Bookworm

• Find connected letters that can form a valid word.
• Select the letters in sequence to spell your word.
• Submit the word to remove those tiles and earn points.
• Look for longer words to increase your score and create bonus tiles.
• Use valuable letters wisely, especially Z and X.
• Clear red burning tiles before they reach the bottom of the board.
• Take advantage of colored bonus tiles when they can improve your score.
• Scramble the board with Lex when no useful word is available, keeping the point penalty in mind.
