Tango is a logic puzzle where suns and moons must fit every rule. Balance each row and column, follow the signs and solve daily boards without guessing.

GAME OVERVIEW

Two symbols share the board in Tango: the sun and the moon. Neither can take over, and neither can appear in a group of three consecutive cells. Every placement affects the spaces around it, turning a simple-looking grid into a puzzle where one small decision can shape an entire row or column.

The rules provide all the information needed to solve the board. Equal signs connect matching symbols, while cross signs require opposite ones. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, so progress comes from finding placements that the rules make certain rather than trying random combinations.

The Rules Behind the Grid

Tango uses four main rules to keep every board in balance:

• Equal counts: Every row and column must contain the same number of suns and moons. On a 6×6 board, that means three of each.
• No triples: Three identical symbols cannot appear consecutively, horizontally or vertically.
• Equals sign (=): Both connected cells must contain the same symbol.
• Cross sign (×): Connected cells must contain opposite symbols.

Place Each Symbol

• First tap: Place a sun.
• Second tap: Change the cell to a moon.
• Third tap: Clear the cell.

Three Ways to Play

Daily

One shared puzzle arrives each day and resets at midnight in your local time zone. The standard 6×6 boards grow harder from Monday through Friday, while the weekend brings a larger 8×8 challenge. Daily solves also build your streak.

Archive

The calendar stores daily boards dating back to January 1, 2026. Completed puzzles are filled in, while starting boards are marked so you can return to an unfinished challenge.

Unlimited

Unlimited mode offers fresh boards in 6×6, 8×8, and 10×10 sizes, with three difficulty levels. Board generation happens in your browser, so new puzzles are always available. Shared links let friends open the exact same board and compare their approaches.
