About Zip

Zip is a logic puzzle where you connect numbers in order and fill every grid cell with one path. Solve daily boards or play unlimited puzzles.

Zip is a grid-based logic puzzle that challenges you to find one complete path through every cell. Starting at 1, your line must follow the numbers in order, avoid walls, and reach the final number without skipping or revisiting any cell. Every board has exactly one solution, so careful planning matters more than speed.

ONE PATH TO COMPLETE THE GRID

The goal in Zip is to fill the entire board with a single continuous line. Each move connects neighboring cells horizontally or vertically, while thick walls block certain routes. The path must reach every numbered point in the correct order and finish at the highest number.

Small grids may seem easy at first, but limited spaces and blocked routes can make the solution tricky. One wrong turn can leave an empty cell unreachable, so looking ahead is essential.

Daily Challenges and Unlimited Puzzles

  • Daily: One new puzzle appears each day, shared by all players. The board grows from 6×6 early in the week to 7×7 midweek and 8×8 on weekends. Daily solves also help build a streak.
  • Archive: The calendar lets you revisit daily puzzles dating back to January 1, 2026. Completed boards are filled in, while puzzles you have started are marked.
  • Unlimited: Fresh boards are available whenever you want more practice. Grid sizes range from 5×5 to 8×8 across three difficulty levels, and shared links let friends try the exact same puzzle.

Tips for Finding the Right Route

Corners and edges are useful places to study because they offer fewer possible directions. A corner usually has only two neighboring cells, which limits how the path can enter and leave.

Dead ends are another important warning. Any move that traps an empty cell or separates the remaining space into disconnected sections can make the puzzle impossible to finish. Careful players keep an eye on the whole board instead of focusing only on the next number.

The distance between numbered points also matters. Sometimes the shortest route is not the correct one, because the path must leave enough room to visit every other cell before reaching the next number.

Controls and Path Editing

  • Start the path: Press the cell marked 1 and drag through neighboring cells.
  • Follow the numbers: Reach every numbered point in ascending order and finish at the highest number.
  • Avoid obstacles: Stay within the grid and never cross thick walls or move diagonally.
  • Fix mistakes: Drag backward over the path to erase it, or press a cell on the existing line to cut the route at that point.
  • Undo a move: Use Undo to reverse the most recent drag.
