Clickword

Clickword is a fast word puzzle where letter placement creates scoring opportunities, bonus words and clever combos across 60 letters.

Clickword turns word building into something more strategic than simply finding letters in a row. Each puzzle gives you a collection of letters and an open board, with every placement creating new possibilities for words.

The goal is simple: build valid words, claim them for points, and make smart use of the limited 60-letter supply. Horizontal and vertical arrangements both count, while longer words and special combinations can push your score higher.

THE BOARD IS YOUR WORD-BUILDING SPACE

Letters can be positioned almost anywhere on the board. Once three or more letters line up to create a valid word, those letters turn green and begin to wiggle, signaling that they can be claimed. Words can appear in two directions:

• Horizontal: Letters read from left to right.
• Vertical: Letters read from top to bottom.
• Multiple words: One placement can sometimes create both horizontal and vertical words at the same time.

How to Play

• Drag letters onto the board: Place each available letter wherever you think it can contribute to a word.
• Watch for green letters: Three or more letters forming a valid word become highlighted and wiggle as a useful clue.
• Claim the word: Click or tap the completed word to collect its points.
• Extend unclaimed words: Words can remain on the board if you decide not to claim them immediately. Another letter must be added before that word can be claimed later.
• Check uncertain words: The word-check button can help confirm whether your combination is valid.
• Undo recent placements: The undo button can reverse the latest placement for eligible letters.

Bigger Words, Bigger Scores

Every claimed word earns points, with uncommon letters carrying higher values. Longer words can also unlock substantial bonuses, making strategic placement important when chasing a high score. Bonus opportunities include:

• Clearing the board: +3 points
• Four-letter word: +5 points
• Five-letter word: +10 points
• Six-letter word: +20 points
• Orange letters: 2× the word's score
• Two words at once: 2× score when one horizontal and one vertical word are created together.

The 60-letter limit adds another layer of strategy. Efficient placements can create several scoring opportunities without wasting useful letters.

Two Modes

• Daily Mode offers one shared board each day, meaning everyone faces the same letter setup. Comparing scores with friends becomes part of the challenge.
• Practice Mode removes the daily limit, giving you unlimited opportunities to experiment with placements, test word combinations, and improve your strategy.

Small Moves Can Create Big Combos

Clickword rewards players who look beyond the most obvious word. Short combinations can sometimes become longer words after another letter is added, while carefully positioned letters may complete two words simultaneously.

Rare letters can also become valuable scoring tools when placed where they contribute to longer or overlapping words. Saving strong opportunities instead of immediately claiming every three-letter word can sometimes lead to a much better final score.
