WHAT IS CANUCKLE?

Canuckle is a daily word-guessing game inspired by the familiar format of Wordle, with one fun twist: every hidden answer connects to Canada. Canadian places, culture, history, nature, and other familiar themes can all shape the daily solution. Six attempts give players enough room to test ideas, study clues, and narrow down the answer. Canadian knowledge can certainly help, but strong word skills and smart guessing matter just as much.

The Daily Canadian Word Challenge

Each puzzle centers on one hidden five-letter word. Every submitted guess must be a real five-letter word rather than an invented combination of letters. Color clues provide useful feedback after each guess:

• Red: The letter is correct and appears in the correct position.
• Yellow: The letter belongs to the hidden word but sits in another position.
• Gray: The letter does not appear in the hidden word.

Careful attention to these clues can quickly turn random guesses into more informed choices.

How to Play Canuckle

• Enter your first five-letter word: Pick any valid five-letter word as your opening guess.
• Check the color clues: Look at each letter after submitting your guess and note its color.
• Adjust your next guess: Keep correctly placed letters, move misplaced letters, and avoid letters marked gray.
• Use the Canadian theme: Think about words connected to Canada when the possibilities start becoming clearer.
• Solve the word within six tries: Six total guesses are available for each daily puzzle.
• Return for the next challenge: One new Canuckle puzzle appears each day.

Smart Guessing Tips

Good opening words can reveal several useful letters at once. Common letters offer more information early in the puzzle, while later guesses can focus on the Canadian theme and the clues already discovered.

Keeping track of yellow letters also matters. Their presence is confirmed, but their position still needs to be solved. Gray letters, meanwhile, can help eliminate several possibilities and make the remaining choices easier to manage.
