Spotle

Music enthusiasts, rejoice! Spotle is the perfect match for those who want to test their knowledge of the most popular music artists. The game is self-defined as a "Spotify-themed Wordle game", which challenges players to figure out the chosen artists or bands from Spotify’s top artists. There are 10 guessing attempts available, and after each guess, Spotle will give you some hints in relation to the chosen artists. These hints are about the year of their debut album, group size, listener rank, gender, genre, and nationality. Try your best to find the chosen artists, as if you guess them right, the game will play one of these artists’ banger songs!

How To Play

Start guessing by typing an artist’s or band’s name on the search bar. After each guess, the game will provide you with different hints, with the hints in the green boxes being correct. Hints in yellow boxes mean that the guess is quite close to the right answer. The meaning of each hint is displayed below:

• Debut album: The box turns yellow if the year is within 5 years of the chosen artist’s debut album year. An up arrow shows that the chosen artist debuted more recently than your guess, and vice versa.
• Group size: This shows the number of members in the artist’s group (with soloists being 1).
• Listener rank: The box turns yellow if the guessed artist’s ranking on Spotify by streams is within 50 of the chosen artist. Similar to the debut album, there are up and down arrows to give players more hints too.
• Gender: In case where a band has both men and women, the gender will be classified as “mixed”.
• Genre: Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Country, Alternative, R&B, K-Pop, Latin, Classical, Jazz, Metal, and Electronic
• Nationality: The box turns yellow if the nationality of the guessed artist is on the same continent as the chosen artist’s nationality.
